With the continuous expansion of China’s highway network, the demand for efficient construction of roadside infrastructure has increased significantly. Highway shoulders and drainage channels play an important role in road safety and drainage performance. Traditional formwork construction methods often suffer from low efficiency, high labor costs, and inconsistent structural quality. As a result, contractors are increasingly adopting Concrete Slipform Paver technology for continuous and automated construction.
The project is located in Guangxi, China, as part of a local highway construction program. The contractor needed to build highway shoulders integrated with drainage channels along the road. The project required stable equipment capable of continuous paving while forming complex concrete structures in a single pass.
To meet the project requirements, we supplied one unit of the SMC-5000 Concrete Slipform Paver, equipped with a side-mounted mold to enable integrated construction of the highway shoulder and drainage channel.
